Hossam Adel Law Firm

Refund and Returns Policy

Last updated: 17 July 2026

1. Introduction and Scope

This Policy applies to all purchases made through the online shop of hossamadellaw.com (physical legal and religious books, and digital PDF publications). This Policy should be read together with the site’s Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, and Disclaimers. This Policy does not apply to fees for actual legal services (consultations and engagements), which are governed exclusively by the terms of the Engagement Letter signed between the Firm and the client.

2.Responsible Entity

Hossam Adel Law Firm — contact@hossamadellaw.com — +201080060717 — Mansoura, Arab Republic of Egypt.

3. Physical Books: Return and Exchange Conditions

You may request a return or exchange of any physical book within 14 days of the date of receipt, provided that:

  • the book is in its original condition, unused, undamaged, and unmarked;
  • the original packaging is retained where possible;
  • proof of purchase is provided (order number or payment receipt).

This does not cover damage resulting from misuse or damage occurring during return shipping due to inadequate packaging by the customer.

4. Digital (PDF) Publications: Special Policy

Given the nature of digital products available for instant download, refund requests for digital (PDF) publications are not accepted once successfully downloaded, except in the following cases:

  • a genuine technical defect preventing the file from opening or being read;
  • an accidental duplicate purchase of the same digital product within the same order;
  • the content received does not match the product displayed and paid for.

Please contact us within 7 days of purchase to report any of these situations through the official channels described in Section 8.

5. How to Submit a Return Request

To submit a return or exchange request, please contact us at contact@hossamadellaw.com, stating your order number and the reason for the request. We will respond to your request within a reasonable time, and may request additional information or images to verify the condition before approval.

6. Refunds: Method and Timeframe

Once a return request is approved, funds are refunded to the original payment method used at purchase (via Paymob for local payments, or PayPal for international payments), typically within 5 to 14 business days of approval, depending on the policies of the relevant payment gateway and your banking service provider. For cash-on-delivery orders, the amount is refunded via bank transfer or another method agreed with you.

7. Return Shipping Costs

The customer bears the cost of return shipping for physical books, unless the reason for the return is an error on the Firm’s part (such as sending a product that does not match the order or that arrived damaged), in which case the Firm bears the full cost of return shipping.

8. Official Channels

No return, exchange, or refund request is recognized unless made through the official channels announced on the website (the Firm’s official email, official phone number, or the official WhatsApp and Google Meet accounts associated with the Firm). The Firm bears no responsibility for any dealings conducted outside these channels or with a party impersonating the Firm, as further detailed in the Disclaimers page.

9. Cancellation Requests Before Shipping

You may cancel any order that has not yet shipped by contacting us immediately through the official channels above; if the order has already shipped, cancellation is then subject to the return provisions described in Section 3.

10. Training Courses

Where digital training courses or educational programs are made available through the website, the following terms apply instead of the provisions of Section 4 on digital publications:

  • a course refund may be requested within 3 days of the purchase date, provided that no more than 20% of the course content has been viewed or completed;
  • once this threshold is exceeded or the three-day period has elapsed, the course fee becomes non-refundable;
  • course login credentials are personal and non-transferable to any other party, and the Firm may revoke access in the event of a violation.

11. Referral Fees to Third Parties

The Firm may, at its discretion, refer a client to a lawyer, consultant, or contracted partner outside the Firm to handle a matter outside its area of specialization or geographic scope. Where the Firm charges an administrative or referral fee for this service, this fee becomes non-refundable once the referral has actually been made and the referred party has been introduced to the client, on the basis that the referral service itself has been performed. Any subsequent fees or payments relating to the service provided by the referred party are governed by a separate agreement directly between that party and the client, and are not covered by this Policy.

12. Affiliate Marketing Commissions

The Firm may earn an affiliate marketing commission when you complete a purchase through a marketing link published on the website for a third-party product or service. This commission is a separate commercial relationship between the Firm and the advertised third party; it is not paid out of your pocket and is not added to the price you pay. Because the purchase in this case is made directly with the third party and not with the Firm, any return, exchange, or refund request relating to that purchase is governed exclusively by that third party’s own return policy, and is not covered by this Policy.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy periodically to reflect operational changes. The “last updated” date at the top of this page will be revised accordingly.

14. Governing Language and Applicable Law

Governing language: the Arabic and English versions of this Policy are the official versions and are together binding as a bilingual document. The French and German versions are provided as a courtesy translation. In the event of any discrepancy in interpretation, the Arabic and English versions shall prevail.
Applicable law and jurisdiction: this Policy and any dispute arising from it are governed primarily by Egyptian law, without prejudice to any mandatory provisions in force for the benefit of users resident in other jurisdictions which cannot be contractually waived. The competent Egyptian courts shall have jurisdiction over any dispute, unless the law applicable in another jurisdiction grants its own courts exclusive jurisdiction over users resident there.
